Nominated for Spain's best hotel/resort and golf facility
La Manga Club is centrally located in terms of distance to the nearest airport. Here it is a short distance to both the two airports Corvera (RMU) and Alicante (ALC). The construction of this resort started already in 1972.
Thanks to over 50 years of continuous investment in this area, and with that in mind right from the start to be a Resort beyond the ordinary, we can happily state that La Manga Club is still at least as popular.
This is shown, among other things, through the many awards this resort has received. La Manga Club is year after year nominated (also wins) as best golf course and best hotel/resort in Spain and Europe.

Several smaller residential areas with their own distinctive style
La Manga Club is built up in different phases and has many different residential areas. All areas are characterized by their special atmosphere and service. Almost like small villages inside the resort, they form different "communities".
All these areas have their own President who represents the area and who helps to handle administrative tasks for the residents.
There are over 2,300 properties at La Manga Club and there is still new construction in the area. The club is suitable for all ages and there is full activity here all year round.
There is a nice mix of permanent residents and vacationers. Here you will find everything from smaller apartments and villas to large and very luxurious properties.

  • Gary Player was LMC's first director of golf. He was also LMC's golf ambassador in the period 1973-77
  • Manolo Santana (4 times Grand Slam winner) was LMC's first tennis director
  • Scenes from the Dracula film with Christopher Lee in the lead role, were recorded at LMC (Miradores)
  • Sergio Garcia's father, Victor Garcia, learned to play golf at LMC and here he met his future wife, and Sergio's mother, Consuelo, who worked in the golf shop
  • Arnold Palmer has had the river at the 18th hole on the south course named after him after a spectacular hit into the water in 1975 that won him the tournament: "Great Lake Palmer"
  • Severiano Ballesteros was LMC's professional ambassador from 1980 to 1985 with LMC's logo on the golf bag
  • Luke Donald learned to play golf at LMC
